The Atlanta Falcons have been quite active in the free agent market over the past week.

Last week marked Eddie Goldman’s return to the Falcons for his third stint with the team. Interestingly, this marks the third consecutive offseason where Atlanta and Goldman have reached an agreement, but the experienced nose tackle has yet to play a single snap for the team as he has retired shortly after signing each contract.

Next in line was the addition of Antonio Hamilton, an experienced cornerback who adds depth to the defensive roster. With nine seasons under his belt, Hamilton started nine games last season, showcasing his skills with 11 passes defended and an interception.

Yesterday, the Falcons revealed signings that further bolster their defensive lineup at both the front and back levels. Kevin King, who last played for the Packers two seasons ago, has joined Atlanta due to his connections with the Falcons coaching staff.

Also on that same day, the team brought in James Smith-Williams as another addition to their defensive line. Similar to the other signings, this veteran pass rusher is primarily seen as a depth addition to the roster.
