Done Deal: Miami Dolphins Just Sealed Contract with Another Super Star

The Dolphins’ 4,624 yards passing behind Tua Tagovailoa in 2023 is likely to be the highest-scoring passing game featuring the top league performer at tight end. For Miami, tight ends combined for only 414 yards and zero TDs on 41 receptions last year. The Dolphins also took care of their tight end business Thursday, agreeing to terms with Jonnu Smith.

Smith played the last season for the Atlanta Falcons, where he started 15 games and caught 50 passes for 582 yards and three touchdowns. He was released Feb. 28 in a move that saved the Falcons $6.5 million against the salary cap. He agreed on a potentially two-year, $10 million contract with the Dolphins, said the Miami Herald and ESPN.
