Although representatives from all NFL franchises were present at the Pro Day, it’s improbable that 31 out of the 32 teams will have the opportunity to draft the USC quarterback in April’s NFL Draft. The Chicago Bears, holding the No. 1 overall pick, are currently the frontrunners to select Williams.

The Bears had a strong presence at USC’s Pro Day, reinforcing the connection between the team and the quarterback. General manager Ryan Poles, head coach Matt Eberflus, and several scouts were in attendance to watch Williams throw. Before departing, Eberflus even took the time to bid farewell to Carl Williams, Caleb Williams’ father.

When questioned about the significant turnout of Bears representatives at USC, Caleb Williams expressed his appreciation for their presence, indicating that it held considerable significance for him.

Williams noted the significance of the Bears’ investment in attending his Pro Day, highlighting the presence of both the general manager and head coach. He appreciated their commitment to observing him firsthand, especially considering the general manager’s passion for football and the head coach’s defensive background. Williams found their support and presence to be particularly meaningful.
