Panthers Have Find Exactly What The Team Was Looking For In Their New Guard.

The strategy was straightforward: locate some tenacious players.

Dolphins lineman Robert Hunt impresses with incredible touchdown, but it doesn't count | Fox News

Robert Hunt, the Carolina Panthers’ recent acquisition with a $100 million contract signed in the opening week of free agency, firmly believes he embodies that description.

“I consider myself a dog,” Hunt remarked during a conference call with reporters on Wednesday. “I believe I approach the game with the correct mindset and attitude.”

Hunt’s arrival in Charlotte fills a critical need for the Panthers, arriving at a time when his services were urgently required.

During his debut season, quarterback Bryce Young, now in his sophomore year, endured a staggering 62 sacks, a figure surpassed by only David Carr in NFL history. Carr holds the record with 76 sacks during his own rookie campaign.

If Young continues to face relentless pressure from opposing defenses, concerns regarding his size become more pronounced. This is where Hunt’s role becomes crucial.
