Buffalo Bills Fans Voice Concerns Over PSL Price Hikes: Is the Team Pricing Out Its Supporters?

The Buffalo Bills experienced an unprecedented season, setting records and sparking immense enthusiasm among fans. However, amidst plans for a new stadium, ticket holders are expressing frustration over steep price increases, arguing that they are alienating loyal supporters and driving them away.

Bills fans, far and wide, revved up for home opener

As per the team’s announcement, ticket prices are set to increase by an average of 10%. General admission packages are priced at an average of $1,146 for a 10-game package (including two preseason and eight regular season games), while club packages will have an average price of $3,180. Fans purchasing single-game tickets are facing a significant surge in costs, reportedly up to 77% more than the price of a season ticket.

PSL holders, especially Joseph Lombardo, are feeling the financial strain. Lombardo, speaking to local Buffalo news station WGRZ, revealed that representatives from the Bill Experience reached out to discuss his season tickets and PSLs at the stadium. Lombardo currently holds eight season tickets in the M&T Bank Suite at Highmark Stadium, which is intended to offer a club experience to a broader audience. This suite is shared by numerous small business owners and non-profit organizations.

Lombardo was shocked to learn that his eight season tickets, previously priced at $24,000 per season, would now come with a staggering price tag of $400,000.

This translates to a significant increase to $50,000 per seat license.

Lombardo expressed his utter astonishment, stating, “I was completely taken aback. The fees they’re charging are on par with those in cities like Las Vegas and Los Angeles. However, our local economy simply can’t support ticket prices at that level.”

Lombardo is not the only one facing these challenges; there’s now a Facebook group boasting over 1,000 members where Bills fans discuss the various offers they’ve received from the team regarding PSLs.

Reports indicate that season-ticket holders have been informed that the price of their PSLs will range from $15,000 to $50,000 per seat for suites and club seats. However, as of now, general admission season-ticket holders have not been informed about the cost of their PSLs.

Melissa Taylor, a fan who spoke to the Buffalo News, revealed that her family had held season tickets for 56 years. However, she recently discovered that the PSLs for her seats at the new venue, scheduled to open in 2026, will amount to $20,000 each.
